Pulse is a browser-native sound-therapy engine I designed and built end-to-end. It synthesizes binaural, pulsed, AM, and vibrotactile frequencies in real time on the Web Audio API — nothing recorded, nothing installed, no account. And it's honest about the science.
Synthesize, don't stream.
A frequency isn't a file to download — it's a number an oscillator can produce on the spot.
The problem
Most sound-therapy apps ship pre-rendered audio behind an install, an account, and a paywall — big files for what is, fundamentally, a pure tone. You can't nudge a frequency by a hertz, layer two together, or hear it the instant you land.
The approach
Build the whole thing as a live oscillator graph in the browser. Every tone is generated on demand — zero recordings, instant playback, and infinitely tweakable.

Four ways to feel a frequency.
Pulsed Tones
Audible on-off gating of a tone — the rhythm you hear, no headphones required.
Smooth AM
Continuous amplitude modulation for a gentler, sustained version of the same pulse.
Binaural Beats
Two slightly detuned tones, one per ear, that the brain fuses into a beat. Headphones only.
Vibrotactile Sub
Sub-bass frequencies meant to be felt as much as heard — laptop, phone, or powered subwoofer.

Presets are only the entry point. Underneath, Pulse is a stackable session builder — layer multiple frequency components, mix delivery modes, and tune the result to whatever your ears (or speakers) want.
Including “we don't know.”
The space around “healing frequencies” is full of overclaiming. Pulse takes the opposite stance: every frequency card states what the research actually supports — and where it doesn't, it plainly says we don't know.
Evidence-informed, not hype. It treats the user as someone who can handle the truth, which is the same principle behind everything I build.
